What is academic tutoring?

Tutoring is a learning method where a tutor helps one or more learners acquire new knowledge/skills. More specifically, academic tutoring includes homework help and remedial academics.

Who are our tutoring services for?

Our tutoring services are designed for elementary and secondary students based on their academic subjects. For elementary students, we offer tutoring services in French, mathematics, English as a Second Language, science, and history. For secondary students, we offer tutoring services in French, history, and geography.

How much do your services cost?

Costs depend on the service chosen and the frequency of sessions. Generally, each tutoring session (online or in-home) costs $35. Contact us for a free consultation call to learn more about the packages we offer. Together, we will determine the one that best suits your budget.

Where does the tutoring take place?

Tutoring is available in your home (only for those living in the Gatineau/Ottawa area) OR online. We have made both options available to make tutoring more accessible and to accommodate our clients' schedules.

What are the frequency and duration of the sessions?

The frequency of sessions is determined by the specific needs of each student. We recommend a minimum of one tutoring session per week to see rapid progress. Tutoring sessions last one hour.

How are payments made?

Payments are made via Interac e-Transfer at the beginning of each tutoring session.

How long will it take to see an improvement in my child's academic performance?

This depends on the frequency of meetings with the tutor and the child's current difficulties. We estimate that it takes a minimum of two months to see significant progress.
